About me
What a great day to share great ideas and strategies! I'm Rhonda Koppelmann. I teach at Rolla Jr. High in Rolla, MO. I hold a Specialist in Education and enjoy any professional development that can be practically implemented in the classroom. This is why I love working with the Department of Elmentary and Secondary Education to develop curriculum lessons that can be put to use immediately by any level teacher. My passion of attending on-site studies from organizations such as The National Endowment of the Humanities, Fund For Teachers, Monticello, Society of Cincinnatus, Mount Vernon, and others has made my classroom one of rigor and excitement. I believe the power derived from on-sight learning is irrefutable as it allows you to feel the history and be a part of the experience. In my spare time I enjoy anything outdoors. A day not at work may find me kayaking down one of our local streams, biking a new section of Katy Trail, or (my favorite) flying around in my very own Cessna 152 -- Did I mention I was a private pilot (LOL). I love talking about ANY of these topics so when you see me please share your stories of on-site professional development, your outdoor adventures, and/or your experiences in the air!
